RESOLUTION NO. 2021-052
RESOLUTION APPROVING EXECUTION OF HEALTHY TREE CANOPY GRANT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF HOPKINS AND HENNEPIN COUNTY
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has established a Healthy Tree Canopy Grant Program to provide
reimbursements for selected eligible community tree projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins has applied for a grant and has been awarded a grant of $44,660 to
assist in contracted tree service work, including removing EAB-infested Ash trees and planting of tree
replacements:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hopkins:
I. That the Healthy Tree Canopy Grant Agreement is hereby approved for execution.
II. That the City of Hopkins will provide 25% matching funds or in-kind services.
III. That the Public Works Director is authorized and directed to execute said grant agreement and
contract no. PR00003478 with Hennepin County or its authorized representative.
