~VIINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCt..USION~ OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL, MEETING
Tuesday, July 1, 2008
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order~at~8:00 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council
members Halverson, Brausen, Rowan, Youakim and City Manager Rick Getschow.
Other:
Council mirnbet'Halverson asked about the schedule for the 1Vlinnetonka Mi11s reconstruction project.
City Manager. ~retschow stated the project mill start in approximately a week to ten days from now and a
information sheet will be ,delivered soon.
Council member Youakim stated that a press release should be prepared for the EDAM Award
Presentation that vv~.s given this evening.
++ Couhcil discussed the 2008 U. S. Women's Open event that occurred this past weekend.
City Manager C,~ctsGhow distributed the new green flyers that had recently been printed showing how
Hopkins is promoting environmental sustainability.
• City 1Vlanager Getschow stated that the city's effort to put an AED (Automated External Defibrilllator)
in' every public, building is half complete. The hope is for all public buildings and certain facilities to
have AED's on site by the -fall.
With no further business, a motion was made by Brausen, seconded by Halverson to adjourn the meeting. The
motion passed unanimously. 1"he meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm.
