Approval of Temporary Liquor License for St. Gabriel the Archangel Church; Domeier CITY OF HOPKINS City Council Report 2023-034 To: Honorable Mayor and Council Members Mike Mornson, City Manager From: Amy Domeier, City Clerk Date: July 11, 2023 Subject: Approval of Temporary Liquor License for St. Gabriel the Archangel Church _____________________________________________________________________ RECOMMENDED ACTION MOTION TO Approve the Issuance of a Temporary On-Sale Liquor License to St. Gabriel the Archangel Church for their Fall Festival event scheduled for September 30 and October 1, 2023. OVERVIEW The Church has submitted an application for a temporary on-sale liquor license for their Fall Festival event at 1950 Mainstreet. The liquor service will be limited to September 30 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and October 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Temporary on-sale liquor licenses must be approved by the State of Minnesota, Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division. The applicant meets the requirements set for by State Statute to obtain a temporary liquor license. Staff has reviewed the request to ensure that all requirements and issues concerning liquor compliance and public safety have been met.
