RECOMMENDED ACTION
MOTION TO Enter into a one-year agreement with ZEF Energy.
OVERVIEW
In 2014 the City of Hopkins entered into a five (5) year agreement with ZEF Energy to
provide one dual port, electric vehicle charger in Lot 500, the lot adjacent to Driskills
Market. This agreement expired in 2019 and ZEF Energy has continued to operate a
charger in the interim.
Staff seek to enter into a 12-month agreement with ZEF while establishing a plan for
Electric Vehicle charging throughout the community. Following the creation of a plan for
EV charging, staff will work with ZEF to either enter into a longer-term agreement or ask
ZEF to remove the charger.
