RECOMMENDED ACTION
MOTION TO declare the results of the November 20, 2023, Election Recount.
OVERVIEW
The City Council as canvassing board is responsible for certification of the results of the
recount. A motion to certify the results of the recount is requested. On November 7 the
Municipal Election was held which resulted in a one vote difference in our City Council
race. On November 14 Aaron Kuznia formally requested a publicly funded recount for
one of the City Council seats. Only the votes cast for Ben Goodlund and Aaron Kuznia
were recounted on November 20. Below is the recount summary for all ballots issued on
Election Day in Precincts 1-5 and all absentee ballots.
