MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGiJLAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, December Z, 2008
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:05 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council
members Halverson, Brausen, Youakim, Rowan and City Manager Rick Getschow
Other:
City Manager Getschow stated that the Hopkins Business and Civic Association (HBCA) will be having
a joint meeting with the Twin West Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, December 1 lt" at L. A. Fitness.
City Manager Getschow stated that the third and final Blake Rd. small area plan stakeholder meeting
will take place on Wednesday, December 3cd at Creekwood Estates on Blake Rd.
City Manager Getschow handed out a thank you e-mail from the school superintendent and school board
chair along with the notes from the joint work session that had occurred a week prior.
Mayor Maxwell stated that the City should send a thank you letter to the Elks and Lillian's for their work
in the "Christmas in the Plaza" event the previous weekend.
Council member Rowan asked for an update on the clock tower.
With no further business, a motion was made by Youakim, seconded by Brausen to adjourn the meeting. The
motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 pm.
