RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -010
PROPOSED CHANGE TO LEGISLATIVE POLICY 8D, 3.05
BULK ITEM DROP OFF (CITY SERVICE AREA)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hopkins has approved a document entitled
the Legislative Policy Manual to provide uniform guidelines on City policies
so that actions taken are consistent and fair; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has established Legislative Policy 8D, 3.05, in order to
provide our residential refuse customers with twice a year Bulk Drop Off
Events free of charge; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the existing policy needs to be
revised in order to implement a user fee for participation in the Bulk Drop
Off Events that have previously been offered as a free service;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Hopkins
hereby adopts the following changes to Legislative Policy 8D, 3.05, a; "A
drop off for bulk items will be conducted at a city designated location twice
a year. Fees to be established by Council Resolution ."
