CANVASS OF 1999 CITY ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, Elections were held on November 2, 1999
and;
WHEREAS, The position of Mayor and two City Council seats were voted on
and;
WHEREAS, The following is a list of the City wide Election Day Totals:
Number of persons registered on Election Day 9321
Number of persons who voted in person 1621
Number of New Registrations on Election Day 109
Number of Absentee Ballots Counted 70
Total Number of Ballots Counted 1785
Total number of votes for Eugene Maxwell 1445
Total number of votes for Timothy R. Lewis 456
Total number of votes for Diane Johnson 958
Total number of votes for Jeffery Christiansen 544
Total number of votes for Karen Jensen 996
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The City Council of the City of Hopkins
accepts the totals as stated and declares the winning candidates as Gene Maxwell
for Mayor, and Karen Jensen and Diane Johnson for Council Members.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins this 3`d day of November,
1999.
