RESOLUTION NO: 99-104
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND
APPROVAL OF A LEGISLATIVE POLICY REQUIRING
NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS
WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Commission reviewed a legislative policy to require
neighborhood meetings for conditional use permits and rezonings;
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows:
1. That the proposed policy was drafted to inform residents of proposed
developments and rezonings within the City of Hopkins before such applications
are brought to the Zoning and Planning Commission and City Council;
2. That the Hopkins Zoning and Planning Commission reviewed such application on
October 26, 1999: all persons present were given an opportunity to be heard;
3. That the written comments and analysis of City staff were considered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the neighborhood meeting legislative policy is
hereby approved based on the following Findings of Fact:
1. That the legislative policy is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the
community.
