RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OF A NO SMOKING -TOBACCO FREE POLICY
AT SHADY OAK BEACH
WHEREAS, the cities of Hopkins and Minnetonka provide Shady Oak Beach for an enjoyable
recreational opportunity; and,
WHEREAS, Shady Oak Beach serves the youth of both communities; and,
WHEREAS, Shady Oak Beach provides quality family recreation.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota:
1. The Council authorizes to designate the fenced in area of Shady Oak Beach as a Smoke and
Tobacco Free area.
2. The Council authorizes the main entrance area of Shady Oak Beach to be designated as a
Smoke and Tobacco Free area.
