RESOLUTION 99-004
RESOLUTION OF AUTHORIZATION TO
ACCEPT AUTOMATIC DEFI$RILLATOR GRANT
WHEREAS, the Hopkins Police Department is the primary first responder to medical
incidents in the City ofHopkins and;
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has purchased Automatic
External Defibrillators (AEDs) to distribute to local law enforcement agencies and;
WHEREAS; the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has awarded one (1} AED to
the Hopkins Police Department: and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of Hopkins,
Minnesota:
1. The Council authorizes the Hopkins Police Department to enter into cooperative
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety to accept the AED for use by
the Hopkins Police Department.
2. The Council authorizes Hopkins Police Department Captain James Liddy to execute
such agreement.
