1998-091CITY OF HOPKINS RESOLUTION N0.98-91 RESOLUTION REQUESTING ANINE-MONTH EXTENSION OF THE DECEMBER 31, ],998, DUE DATE FOR REVIEW OF THE CITY OF HOPHINS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR CONSISTENCY WITH AMENDED METROPOLITAN COUNCIL POLICY PLANS WHEREAS, state statutes (Minn. Stat. 473,175-473.8712 (1996) require that cities review and revise their comprehensive plans for consistency with Metropolitan Council policy plans; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has amended its policy plans and has provided systems statements outlining Council policy relative to the city; and WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins is required to review its comprehensive plan for consistency with the amended policy plans and to prepare a revised comprehensive plan for submission to the Metropolitan Council by December 31, 1998; and WHEREAS, THE City of Hopkins has scheduled and budgeted to complete a major review and update of its comprehensive plan by October, 1999. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Hopkins requests that the Metropolitan Council grant the City of Hopkins aseven-month extension to the deadline to complete its comprehensive plan; circulate the revised document to the adjacent governmental units and affected school district for review and comment; The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member Johnson, seconded by Mayor Redepenning, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: all voted for, and the following voted against the same: none.
