RESOLUTION 98-72
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LETTER ABATING ASSESSMENT
OF STATE PROPERTY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA, that
the City of Hopkins assessed state property in 1981 for watermain/hydrant work and for
sanitary sewer work for road construction in 1992.
In accordance with Minnesota Statute, Section 435.19 the Minnesota Department of
Transportation is not bound by an assessment determination which does not benefit the
property for trunk highway right of way purposes or is not for storm drainage purposes.
Lori Yager, Finance Director is hereby authorized to execute and sign a letter abating parcel
PID #19 117 21 11 0048 for the 1981 original assessment of $4,642.77 and parcel PID #19 117
21 23 0100 for the 1992 original assessment of $13,455.
The letter is to be addressed to Hennepin County, Property Tax Division.
I certify that the above resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins at the
hearing of the Council held this 20th day of October, 1998.
