RESOLUTION NO. 97-106
AUTHORIZING PHASE n
OF THE RENOVATION OF
THE DEPOT COFFEE HOUSE
WHEREAS, Phase I of the renovation of the Depot Coffee House is approaching
successful completion; and
WHEREAS, the Depot Coffee House has already secured cash and in-kind
donations sufficient to complete much of Phase II of the renovation; and
WHEREAS, the Depot Coffee House has secured donated construction
management services for Phase II from Building Construction Management, Inc., of
Minneapolis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HOPKINS (THE "CITY") AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Depot Coffee House is authorized to commence Phase II of the
renovation of the structure at 9451 Excelsior Boulevard, including all interior construction
of walls, utilities, equipment and fixtures. The Depot Coffee House is to be occupied at
the end of Phase II, at which time the Depot Coffee House will commence operations.
2. That the City Manager is authorized to take any measures necessary to
continue to ensure the public health and safety at the Depot Coffee House site.
