RESOLUTION NO: 97-71
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO
THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR A PLANNING ASSISTANCE GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins is required to update the Comprehensive Plan by
December 31,1998.
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature authorized the Metropolitan Council up to one
million to provide a planning assistance grant and loan program to assist local communities in
meeting comprehensive planning requirements.
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins is applying for a grant to assist in the costs of updating
the Comprehensive Plan.
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins will be using professional services to provide assistance
to the city staff in the updating of the Hopkins Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Hopkins City Council is
authorizing application to the Metropolitan Council for a planning assistance grant.
