1996-096CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 96-96 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AFTER PUBLIC HEARING FIRST STREET NORTH IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 15th day of October, 1996, fixed a date for a Council hearing on the proposed improvement of First Street North from Fifth Avenue to Seventeenth Avenue (Project 96-13) including street reconstruction, replacement of curb, installation of bituminous overlay and installation of sidewalks, and WHEREAS, the Council deems it appropriate and expedient to make such improvements, and WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the 19th day of November, 1996, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA: 1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council resolution adopted the 15th day of October, 1996, with the following conditions: a) Plans and specifications shall reflect a nine ton roadway design the entire length of the project. b) MSA funding shall apply only to those eligible project costs between 8th and 12th Avenues. c) No new sidewalk shall be constructed except where ADA standards must be met. d) The assessment policy as proposed in Council Report 96-187 shall apply to this project. 2. Bolton and Menk, Inc. is hereby designated to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
