PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON 5TH STREET SOUTH
& WASHINGTON AVENUE SOUTH
PROHIBIT LEFT TURNS FROM MILWAUKEE STREET TO COUNTY ROAD 3
WHEREAS, traffic safety problems exist at the vehicle exits from
two SuperValu, Inc. parking lots and at the intersection of
Milwaukee Street and County Road 3, and
WHEREAS, there is difficulty safely driving 5th Street South near
the SuperValu perishable site parking lot and the 3rd Street
South - Washington Ave South intersection area, or exiting
parking lot areas while vehicles are parked on the parking
lot sides of the streets,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA:
The City shall maintain "No Parking" restrictions of
vehicles on the west side of 5th Street South from just
north of the parking lot exit to 6th Street South and on the
east side of Washington Avenue South from 3rd Street South
to 50 feet beyond (north) the parking lot exit. Also, the
city shall prohibit left turns for vehicles traveling from
Milwaukee Street to west-bound County Road 3.

of November, 1995.
