1994-012 CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO: 94-12 RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGES TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REGARDING RESIDENTIAL HOUSING WHEREAS, an application for Comprehensive Plan amendments COMP94-1, made by the City of Hopkins to amend the Comprehensive Plan is approved. WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: 1. That an application for a Comprehensive Plan amendment COMP94-1 filed with the City of Hopkins on December 20, 1993. 2. That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to mailed notices, held a public hearing on the application and reviewed such application on January 25, 1994: all persons present were given an opportunity to be heard. 3. That the written comments and analysis of the City staff and the Planning Commission were considered. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the application for a Comprehensive Plan amendment COMP94-1 is hereby approved based on the following Findings of Fact: 1. It has been determined by the Zoning and Planning Commission that the City has a high percentage of mUlti-family units. 2. That a goal of the City is to reduce the potential number of new mUlti-family units that can be constructed. 3. That a goal of the City is to reduce the ratio of multi-family units to single family units. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that application for COMP94-1 is hereby approved based on the following conditions: 1. That the Metropolitan Council approves the proposed amendments.
