RESOLUTION NUMBER 94-33
RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE
NATIONAL PARENTING ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, children are 100% of the future for all of us, and
WHEREAS, education IS the most Important predictor of self suffiCiency and future
success, and
WHEREAS, parents are the first, ongoing and most influential educators of their chil-
dren, and
WHEREAS, the National Parenting Association IS a nonprofit, bipartisan membership
driven organization, dedicated to creating a society which cherishes chil-
dren by providing education, support and, a "voice" for families
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of HopkinS, Minnesota
shares the vIsion of the National Parenting Association and supports the
Association's efforts to attain the goals Within ItS VISion statement
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be given the authOrity to forward
thiS resolution to the National Parenting ASSOCiation, Minnesota Parent-
Ing ASSOCiation and the League of Minnesota Cities
