RESOLUTION NO. 94-39
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND AUTHORIZING BIDS
PROJECT 94-17: OAKRIDGE SOUTH STREET RECONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, this street reconstruction project has been identified in the
city's 1994 CIP as a city initiated project; and
WHEREAS, staff has prepared plans and specifications for a project of such
scope and such plans have been presented to Council for approval,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hopkins,
Minnesota:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed by the City
Engineer and presented to the Council on March 15, 19934
2. Bid plans, a site plan of which are attached hereto and made
a part hereof, are hereby approved and ordered on file in
the office of the City Clerk.
3. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the
official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an
advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement
under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the
work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by
the clerk until 10:00 a.m., on the 13th day of May, 1994 at
the City Hall and that no bids shall be considered unless
sealed and filed with the clerk.
4. The Clerk and Engineering Superintendent are hereby
authorized and instructed to receive, open, and read aloud
bids recei ved at the time and place herein noted, and to
tabulate the bids received. The Council will consider the
bids, and the award of a contract after holding an
assessment hearing on June 7, 1994 with the affected
property owners.
