CITY OF HOPKINS
RESOLUTION NO. 94-42
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
ON 5TH AVENUE NORTH BETWEEN
FIRST STREET NORTH AND MINNETONKA MILLS ROAD
WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary to restrict heavy truck
traffic on this section of 5th Avenue North; and
WHEREAS, the most appropriate method to restrict truck traffic in
this situation would be by weight; and
WHEREAS, the weight restriction necessary to limit the truck
traffic in this situation is a 4 ton per axle restriction.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Hopkins, Minnesota that a four (4) ton per axle weight
restriction be hereby established on 5th Avenue North
between First Street North and Minnetonka Mills Road, and
that staff be hereby directed to install the appropriate
signs for this restriction.
