RESOLUTION NO. 94-60
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AFTER PUBLIC HEARING
MAINSTREET RECONSTRUCTION - 5TH AVENUE TO WASHINGTON AVENUE
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 7th Day of June,
1994, fixed a date for a Council hearing on the proposed
improvement of upgrading Mainstreet between 5th to Washington
Avenues, and
WHEREAS, the Council deems it appropriate and expedient to reconstruct
this section of Mainstreet, including curb and gutter, sidewalk,
storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main, street amenities, and
WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the
hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the 5th
day of July, 1994, at which all persons desiring to be heard
thereon,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HOPKINS, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the
Council resolution adopted the 7th day of June, 1994.
2. Consideration of removal of certain portions of the T.H. 169
sound wall shall be removed from the final plans. A revised
cost estimate shall reflect removal of this feature from the
plans and a change in landscaping.
3. RLK Associates is hereby designated as the engineer for this
improvement and shall prepare plans and specifications for
the making of such improvement.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins this 5th day of
July, 1994.
