ORDINANCE NO. 94-736
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE CCMPOSITION
OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS CCM1ISSION
The City Council of the City of Hopkins does hereby ordain:
SECTION 1. That Section 340, Human Rights Commlsslon, be amended
to read as follows:
340.03 Establ1.shment and Composition. There ~s hereby reestabllshed a
Human Rights Commiss~on of the C~ty of Hopk~ns. The Comm~ss~on shall be com-
posed of at least n~ne and no more than f~fteen members for three year terms.

340.05 Terms. Members of the Human Rlghts CommlSSlon shall be appolnted
for terms of three years. Terms shall explre on January 31st of each year
provlded that one-thlrd of the flrst Human Rlghts CommlSSlon shall be com-
pr~sed of -tft.ree members whose terms exp~re on January 31, 1995, -tft.ree one-
th~rd of members whose terms explre on January 31 1996/ and -tft.ree one-thlrd
of members whose terms explre on January 31/ 1997. Upon eXplratlon of a term
of offlce, the members shall contlnue to serve untll a successor lS appolnted
and quallfled. Members shall serve no more than two consecutlve terms Mem-
bers may be renom~nated after belng off the Comm~ss~on for one year

SECTION 2. The effectlve date of this ordlnance shall be twenty
days after publication.
