RESOLUTION ACCEPfING PETITIONS FOR PRIVATE
IMPROVEMENTS AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF
ASSESSMENT ROLL - 1993 MISCELLANEOUS
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS, certain private improvements in conjunction with larger
public improvements have been petitioned for, and
WHEREAS, certain improvements have been completed, agreements
fulfilled, and costs of delinquent invoices have been
incurred,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HOPKINS, MINNESOTA:
1. The following petitions for private improvements are
declared to be valid and in conformity to Minnesota
Statutes, section 429.035 and are hereby accepted:
a)
Installation of public sidewalk at 44 5th Ave.
South, Sonoma Apartments,
b)
Repair of brqken water service utility at 910
Mainstreet in conjunction with Mainstreet
reconstruction,
c)
Excavation of a private pond at 707 Oakridge Road
in conjunction with the Knollwood neighborhood
street reconstruction project,
d)
Parking lot improvements at Alliant Techsystems in
conjunction with the 2nd Street N.E. sidewalk
project.
2. The engineering superintendent shall forthwith
calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed
for each such improvement, agreement, or delinquent
invoice against every assessable lot, piece or parcel
of land abutting on the streets affected, without
regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he
shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the
city office for inspection.
3.
The engineering superintendent shall, upon completion
of such proposed assessments, notify the Council
thereof.
