RESOLUTION NO. 93-130
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING BIDS
PROJECT 93-15: NINE MILE CREEK IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, culvert and creek improvements for Nine Mile Creek have been
identified by the city as necessary improvements in order to
reduce the flooding, eliminate safety hazards, and reduce the
erosion problems that currently exist, and
WHEREAS, staff has prepared plans and specifications for a project of such
scope and such plans have been presented to Council for approval,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Hopkins,
Minnesota:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed by the City
Engineer and presented to the Council on November 16, 1993.
2. Bid plans and specifications, a copy of which are attached
hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and
ordered on file in the office of the city Clerk.

The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the
official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an
advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement
under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the
work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by
the clerk until 10:00 a.m., on the 10th day of December,
1993 at the City Hall and that no bids shall be considered
unless sealed and filed with the clerk.
4. The Clerk and engineering superintendent are hereby
authorized and instructed to receive, open, and read aloud
bids received at the time and place herein noted, and to
tabulate the bids received. The Council will consider the
bids, and the award of oa contract at the regular City
Council meeting of December 21, 1993, in the Council
Chambers.
5. All approvals contained herein are contingent on the Nine
Mile Creek Watershed District approving the plans and
specifications for this project.
