RESOLUTION NO: 92-6
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING AN
APPLICATION FOR A SIGN VARIANCE
WHEREAS, an application for a sign variance entitled VN 91-2
made by Embers Restaurants is approved.
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as
follows:
1. That an application for a sign variance VN
91-2 was filed with the City of Hopkins on
December 10, 1991.
2. That the sign will be located on the
following described property:
Registered Land Survey No. 1241 Tract C.
3. That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed
such application on December 30, 1991.
4. That the Hopkins Planning Commission,
pursuant to published and mailed notice, held
a hearing on December 30, 1991.
5. That the written comments and analysis of the
City staff and the Planning Commission were
considered.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that application for VN 91-2
is hereby approved subject to the following
Findings of Fact:
1. That the applicants property has an undue hardship
because of the lack of visibility from Highway 7.
2. That the applicants property is unique from the
surrounding parcels due to its lack of frontage on
Highway 7 and the proximity of adjacent structures
which block visibility of the subject property.
