RESOLUTION NO: 92-64
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND AUTHORIZING BIDS AFTER
PUBLIC HEARING, SIDEWALK REPAIR, PROJECT 92-04
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the twenty
first day of July, 1992, fixed a date for a Council
hearing on the repair of defective or unsafe public
sidewalks at properties that have received proper
notification citing the repairs needed in an area of
northwest Hopkins bounded by 2nd st. North on the south
and 5th Ave./Oakridge Rd. on the east, and
WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published
notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was
held thereon on the 4th day of August, 1992, at which
all persons desiring to be heard were given an
opportunity to be heard thereon,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HOPKINS, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the
Council resolution adopted the twenty first day of
July, 1992.
2. Bid plans and specifications, a copy of which are
attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby
approved and ordered place on file in the office
of the City Clerk.
3. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be
inserted in the official paper and in the
Construction Bulletinan advertisement for bids
upon the making of such improvement under such
approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published twice, shall
specify the work to be done, shall state that bids
will be received by the clerk until 10:00 a.m., on
the 26th day of August, 1992, at the City Hall and
that no bids shall be considered unless sealed
and filed with the clerk and accompanied by a
certified check or bid bond, payable to the City
of Hopkins, Minnesota for 5% of the amount of such
bid.

4. The clerk and engineering superintendent are
hereby authorized and instructed to receive, open,
and read aloud bids received at the time and place
herein noted, and to tabulate the bids received.
The Council will consider the bids, and the award
of a contract, at the regular City Council meeting
of September 1, 1992, in the Council Chambers.

RESOLUTION NO. 92-64A
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR THE URBAN
HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins has executed a Joint
Cooperation Agreement with Hennepin County for the
purpose of participating in the 1992 (Year XVIII) Urban
Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant
Program; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County is the recipient of an annual grant
from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development for purposes of the program and the City is
a subrecipient under the program and receives a share
of the grant; and
WHEREAS, program regulations require that the City and
County execute a Subrecipient Agreement which sets
forth the specific implementation processes for
activities to be undertaken with program funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins City Council
hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and City
Manager to execute Subrecipient Agreement, County
Contract Number A09552, on behalf of the city.
