RESOLUTION NO. 91-25
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FOR SPECIAL LEGISLATION
GIVING HOPKINS THE AUTHORITY TO RAISE MONIES TO PAY FOR
REMEDIAL ACTION AT THE HOPKINS LANDFILL
WHEREAS, Hopkins has entered into a Closure Agreement with,the Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency which requires the City of Hopkins to study
and remediate environmental concerns at the HQpkins landfill, and
WHEREAS, Methane gas monitoring has indicated the need to perform remedial
action at the landfill, and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to perform a remedial action project at the
Landfill, and
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins has limited abilities in which to raise funds in
which to pay for remedial action,
