RESOLUTION NO. 91-52
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION IN LANDSCAPING EFFORTS ON STATE
PROPERTIES IN THE VICINITY OF THE ALICE
SMITH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
WHEREAS, the quality of life and the beauty of Hopkins is enhanced by the
presence of trees; and
WHEREAS, trees contribute to the environmental and psychological well-being of
Hopkins, and enrich our lives in so many ways; and
WHEREAS, all citizen's have been. encouraged to participate in tree planting
programs which will ensure a green Hopkins in the decades to come,
and
WHEREAS, the Alice Smith School Community has initiated such a tree planting
program on school property, .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Hopkins "supports and encourages. the Minnesota Department of Transportation in
landscaping efforts on State properties in the vicinity of the Alice Smith Elementary
School.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins this 16th day of
April, 1991.
