RESOLUTION NO. 91-53
A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
PHYLLIS MCQUAID
WHEREAS Phyllis McQuaid has been a dedicated community volunteer and
public servant all her adult life, and
WHEREAS Phyllis served the City of Hopkins for eight years as Minnesota State
Senator, representing Senate District 44, and .
WHEREAS Phyllis, while in the Minnesota State Senate, served with distinction
on a number of committees and commissions, including Local and
Urban Government, Government Operations, Elderly Housing,
Waste. Management, Regional Transit Board and Legislative
Commission on Child Probation and through which Phyllis
represented the concerns of the residents of Hopkins with
o compassion and commitment, and
WHEREAS Phyllis has now retired from public office for a well deserved rest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Thursday, April 18, 1991 be
proclaimed "Phyllis McQuaid Day" in the City of Hopkins, in gratitude and
appreciation for her many years of dedicated service.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins this 16th day of
