CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO: 90-8 RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING ORDINANCE NO: 90-671 REZONING WELL SITE #3, BAKERS SQUARE AND FINA SERVE FROM R-4/I-2 TO B-3 GENERAL BUSINESS WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 90-671 Rezoning Hopkins Well site #3, Bakers Square and Fina Serv on Blake Road North from R-4/I-2 to B-3 General Business is hereby approved. WHEREAS, the procedural history of the Ordinance is as follows: 1. That the proposed rezoning was filed with the City of Hopkins on December 1, 1989. 2. That the Hopkins Planning commission reviewed such proposal on December 26, 1989. 3. That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to published notice, held a public hearing on December 26, 1989 and January 30, 1990; all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 4. That the written comments and analysis of the city Staff and the Planning commission were considered. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Ordinance No: 90-671 for rezoning of Hopkins Well site #3, also 210 and 240 Blake Road North is hereby approved subj ect to the following Findings of Fact: 1. That the Comprehensive Plan has designated the subject sites for a business zoning. 2. That the well site is better suited for a business use rather than a residential use. 3. That the Bakers Square and Fina sites are better suited for a business use rather than an industrial use. Adopted this 6 day of February, 1990. ~ W. Berg, . City Clerk
