COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
May 9, 1989
A Council workshop meeting was held in the Community Room of
Hopkins City Hall on May 9, 1989. Present were Mayor
Milbert, Councilmembers: Redepenning, shirley, Anderson and
Kritzler. Also present were City Manager Rapp and Staff
members: Genellie, Schedler and Mielke.
I. PRESENTATION - FINANCE/CLERK /MANAGER DEPARTMENTS
Activities of the Finance, City Clerk and Administrative
Departments were explained to the Council.
II. CONCEPT PLAN REVIEW - MAINSTREET ALIGNMENT
The realignment of Mainstreet, as proposed by Westwood
Professional Services, Inc., was discussed and reviewed by
staff and Council. The Mainstreet improvement study was
referred to the Business Council for review and comment.
III. CONCEPT PLAN REVIEW SOUTH - MAINSTREET ALLEY
The alley improvement study was reviewed and discussed by
the Council and staff. The drawings and report were
referred to the Business Council for review and comment.
IV. DISCUSSION - CITY HALL REMODELING PLAN - UPPER LEVEL
Bernard Jacobs presented the proposed remodeling plans for
the upper level of City Hall. The Council authorized
preparation of the plans.
