RESOLUTION NO:89-115
A RESOLUTION OF APPROVAL OF MINNESOTA LAW,
CHAPTER 277, PERMITTING HOPKINS TO ESTABLISH
SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins must make occasional public
improvements to improve the services in our
community, and
WHEREAS, State Statute 428A.01 authorizes cities to
establish a special service district to finance
such improvements, and
WHEREAS, a bill was introduced for and received legislative
approval which authorizes the City to establish a
special service district where special services are
rendered and the costs of the special services are
paid from revenues collected from service charges
imposed in that area.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the City Council of the
City of Hopkins approves the Minnesota Law, Chapter
277, allowing Hopkins to establish Special Service
Districts.
