RESOLUTION NO: 89-83A
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING
APPLICATION VAC89-1 VACATING A PORTION OF HAWTHORNE ROAD
WHEREAS, an application for Vacating a portion of Hawthorne
Road VAC: 89-1 made by Walter Bush Jr. of 249
Hawthorne Road is hereby approved.
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as
follows:
1. That an application for Vacation of Hawthorne
Road VAC:89-1 was filed with the City of
Hopkins on August 17, 1989.
2. ~hat the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed
such application on September 26, 1989.
3. That the Hopkins Planning Commission,
pursuant to published and mailed notices,
held a public hearing on September 26, 1989:
all persons present at the hearing were given
an opportunity to be heard.
4. That the written comments and analysis of the
City Staff and the Planning Commission were
considered.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that application for Vacation
of a portion of Hawthorne Road is hereby approved
subject to the following Findings of Fact:
1. That the approximately 90 feet of Hawthorne
Road is not needed by the City.
2. That the vacation of Hawthorne Road will
provide the city an opportunity to construct
a cul-de-sac at the end of Hawthorne.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that application for VAC:89-1 is
hereby approved subject to the following
Conditions:
1. That the cul-de-sac have a radius of 25 feet which
does not meet the requirements of the City Code.
