RESOLUTION NO: 89-18
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF A BILL WHICH WOULD
PERMIT THE CITY TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
A SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins must make occasional
public improvements to improve the services in our
community, and
WHEREAS, State Statute
to establish a special service
improvements, and

authorizes ci ties
to finance such
WHEREAS, a bill will be introduced for legislative
consideration which authorizes the city to establish a
special service district where special services are rendered
and the costs of the special services are paid from revenues
collected from service charges imposed in that area.
NOW, THEREFORE; be it resolved, that the City
Council of the City of Hopkins supports the establishment of
a Special Service District.
