RESOLUTION NO. 89-16
RESOLUTION REQUESTING CONVEYANCE OF TAX
FORFEITURE PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC USE
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has notified the city of Hopkins
of certain real estate located within the City which has been
forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real
estate property taxes; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined the acquisition of the tax
forfeited parcel will be beneficial to the City and be utilized
for public purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Hopkins:
That the City hereby request conveyance of that certain
parcel from Hennepin County described under PIO no. 25-117-
22 42 0022 in the manner provided for and pursuant to the
authority of Minnesota Statue 282.01. The parcel to be
utilized for the purpose of a park parking lot.
That the City hereby request conveyance of that certain
parcel from Hennepin County described under PIO no. 24-117-
22 42 0079 in the manner provided for and pursuant to the
authority of Minnesota Statute 282.01. The parcel to be
made available for sale to the adjoining property owner.
The above listed resolution was moved by James Shirley,
member of the Hopkins City Council, and duly seconded by
Charles Kritzler, member of the Hopkins city Council.
