RESOLUTION NO: 89-12
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF A BILL WHICH WOULD GIVE
MANUFACTURED HOME PARK RESIDENTS THE FIRS~ RIGHT TO
PURCHASE THEIR PARK
WHEREAS, manufactured home parks are an important
form of affordable housing in our community,
WHEREAS, manufactured home park residents are home
owners, who are financially invested in our community,
WHEREAS, manufactured home park residents are
vulnerable to mass eviction in the event of a park closing,
WHEREAS, manufac tured home park residents do not
have the same opportunity as other home owners to purchase
land,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Hopkins goes on record in favor of
legislation to create "a first right of refusal" for
manufactured home park residents.
