ORDINANCE NO. 89-630
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1305
OF THE HOPKINS CITY CODE
IN REGARD TO SNOW REMOVAL PARKING RESTRICTIONS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the city of Hopklns as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 1305.33 be amended to read as follows:
1305.33. Removal of vehlcle for street malntenance. Whenever
the d~~eee~en director of public works or any of hlS asslstants
shall find it necessary for purposes of facilltatlng any public
thoroughfare construction or maintenance operations such as the
removal of snow, ice, street wastes, or other construction or
repairs, to remove any vehicle standing on any such public
thoroughfare, such we~k.s director is hereby authorized to move
such vehicle as hereinafter provided.
SECTION 2. That Section 1305.35 be amended to read as follows:
1305.35. Removal. Any vehicle or other obstruction left parked
or standing on any thoroughfare in the city in violation of this
subsection may be removed by or under the direction of any police
officer or other authorized city employee,-6~~e~-~ueh-~~~~~
empleyee-has-aeeempeed-e~ally-e~-eehe~w~se-ee-nee~fy_ehe-ewne~-e~
d~~ve~-ee-~em.eve-'5ueh--veh-:i-e:l:e--~-obs-t-ruct_i-on. When a vehicle or
other obstruction is removed by the city, the expense thereof
shall be charged against the owner or operator thereof. No such
removal shall prevent prosecution against the owner or operator,
or either of them for a violation of this section.
SECTION 3. That Section 1305.41 be repealed:
