1989-638 CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota ORDINANCE NO: 89-638 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING HOPKINS ZONING ORDINANCE NO: 515-570 PERTAINING TO BANNERS/TEMPORARY CIVIC SIGNS ON MAINSTREET IN THE B-2 DISTRICT BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Hopkins as follows: That the Hopkins Zoning Ordinance No. 515-570 be and the same is hereby amended by adding the following provisions: 570.13 Subd. 2. c) 570.24 Subd. 4. First Reading Second Reading Exceptions Permitted temporary civic signs as pursuant to 570.24 Subd. 4. a) Temporarv C1V1C signs. Temporary civic signs are a permitted use across the right- of-way on Mainstreet in the B-2 District provided: the location of the temporary civic signs has been reviewed and approved by the Zoning Administrator the minimum height is 13 feet, 6 inches above the crown of the street a sign permit is secured the approved sign is displayed no more than 60 days in anyone calendar year there is allowed one such sign per block at any given time temporary civic signs are affixed to the buildings on each side of the right-of-way that the sign owner receives permission from the building owners before a temporary civic sign can be attached. b) c) d) e) f) g) June 6, 1989 Date of Publication June 20, 1989 July 5, 1989 1 JU~9~ w4< Mayo} Date Ordinance Takes Effect
