CITY OF HOPKINS
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND DENYING
APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE VN87-11
WHEREAS, an application for a Variance entitled
VN87-11 has been made by Paul Steiner, 708 - 12th Avenue
South, to construct a mini-storage development with less
than the minimum rear yard setback.
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application
is as follows:

1. That an application for Variance VN87-11 was
filed with the City of Hopkins on October 29,
1987.
2. That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed
such application of Novemb~r 24, 1987.
3. That the Hopkins Planning commission, pursuant
to mailed notices, held a public hearing on
November 24, 1987, continued to December 29,
1987; all persons present at thet hearing were
given an opportunity to be heard.
4. That the written comments and analysis of the
City Staff and the Planning Commission were
considered.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins
City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect
to VN87-11:
1. That there does not exist a unique circumstance
or hardship that would justify approval of this
variance.
2. That the subject property's use is not
restricted because of the 20 foot rear yard
setback.
