RESOLUTION NO: 87-5
CITY OF HOPKINS
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND DENYING
APPLICATION FOR ALLEY VACATION VAC:86-1
WHEREAS, an application to vacate a portion of the
alley at 13 - 8th Avenue South has been made.
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is
as follows:
1. That an application to vacate a portion of an
alley VAC86-1 was filed with the City of Hopkins
on October 31, 1986.
2. That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed
such application on November 25, 1986, and January
27, 1987..
3. That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant
to published and mailed notices reviewed such
application: all persons present at the meeting
were given an opportunity to be heard.
4. That the City Council held a public hearing on
February 3, 1987; all persons present at the
hearing were given an opportunity to be heard.
5. That the written comments and analysis of the
City staff and the Planning Commission were
considered.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins Ci ty
Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect to
VAC86-1:
1. That there is an access requirement for
fire trucks of 150 feet.
2. That the vacating of the alley would
limit fire access.
3. That access points to the adjacent
apartment will be limited to a one way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,
hereby denied.
