CITY OF HOPKINS Q Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 87-10 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice published and given as required by law, the City Council of the City of Hopkins has met and heard on February 17, 1987, and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the improvement of the Hopkins House by a fire sprinkler system, all as more fully set forth and described in Resolution No. 87-1 adopted o the 6th day of January 1987 and Resolution No. 87-2 adopted the 20th day of January 1987, and WHEREAS, the said improvement as set forth herein was presented and considered by said Council separately at said meeting and accepted and adopted by unanimous vote of said Hopkins Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. Such proposed assessment, o The installation of fire protection sprinkler systems in the "Hopkins House" motel & restaurant, 1501 Highway 17, the total cost for the project being $153,215.36, and the area proposed to be assessed being: P.I.D. 24-117-22 22 0066, Tract A and east 1/2 of Tract B also that part of Tract G lying east of west 120 feet thereof, Registered Land Survey No. 1053 and hereby accepted shall constitute the special assessment against the lands herein named and each tract of land herein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal, annual installments extending over the periods of years set forth in the Schedule of Assessments, the first of the o installments to be paid with the real estate taxes due and payable in 1988. Any deferred installments shall bear -.t' lit Q interest at the rate as set forth in said Schedule of Assessments from the 1st day of March, 1987. To the first installments shall be added interest on the entire respective assessment from March 1st, 1987 until December 31st, 1987. To each subsequent installments, when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may at o anytime after the adoption of the assessments and before November 15th, pay the whole of the assessmvnts against any parcel to the eity Manager, and no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid before November 15th. Also, the owner of the property may at anytime thereafter, except between November 15th and December 31st of each year, pay to the City Manager, the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the Hennepin County Auditor o to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County, and such assessment shall be collected and paid over the same manner as other municipal taxes.
