AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING GARBAGE RATES FOR 1987 AND
AMENDING SECTION 605.25 OF THE 1986 HOPKINS CODE OF
ORDINANCES

WHEREAS. the refuse rate has not changed since April 2,
1985 and operating costs continue to rise, and
WHEREAS, a dramatic increase in landfill tipping fees has
occurred with no relief in sight,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Hopkins as
follows:
1. Section 605.15, Subdivision (c) of the 1986 Hopkins Code
of Ordinances is hereby amended as follows:
(c) CHARGES FOR COLLECTION BY CITY:
The following charges for the following services performed
by the City shall be charged by and paid to the City upon
billing therefor as follows:
SINGLE FAMILY AND MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL UNITS AND TRAILER
COURT
~ $9.40 per month per unit
$9.40 per month additional for in yard pick up service.
II. EFFECTIVE DATE: The provisions of this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force in connection with all billing
rendered hereunder from and after February 2, 1987.
First read at a regular meeting of the Council of the City
of Hopkins held on December 26, 1986, and finally read,
approved, adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting
of said Council of said City on January 6, 1987.
