CITY OF HOPKINS
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING
APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE VN87-7
WHEREAS, an application for a Variance entitled
VN87-7 has been made by Hopkins Commerce Center, 1007-1021
Excelsior Avenue East, to allow more signage than permitted.
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application
is as follows:

That an application for Variance VN87-7 was filed
with the City of Hopkins on June 2, 1987.
That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed such
application on June 30, 1987.
That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to
published and mailed notices, held a pUblic
hearing on June 30, 1987; all persons present at
the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard.
That the written comments and analysis of the City
Staff and the Planning Commission were considered.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins
City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect
of VN87-7:
1. That a hardship exists due to the shape of the
property.
2. That a hardship exists because of the amount of
frontage the site has.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that application for
Variance VN87-7 is hereby approved subject to the following
Conditions:
1. That the variance is consistent with the plans
submitted at this meeting.
