RESOLUTION NO: 87-63
CITY OF HOPKINS
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING
APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT CUP87-18
WHEREAS, an application for a Conditional Use
Permit entitled CUP87-18 has been made by the Hopkins
Commerce Cen ter, 1007 -1021 Excelsior Avenue East, to
construct a pylon sign with a 5 foot setback.
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application
is as follows:

That an application for CUP87-18 was filed with
the City of Hopkins on June 2, 1987.
That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed such
application on June 30, 1987.
That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to
published and mailed notices, held a public
hearing on June 30, 1987; all persons present at
the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard.
That the written comments and analysis of the City
Staff and the Planning Commission were considered.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins
City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect
to CUP87-18:
1. That the proposed sign meets the requirements for
a sign in a B-3 District.
2. That the 5 foot setback will not affect the
visibility on County Road 13.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that application for

1. That a sign permit is secured and the electrical
inspector approves the plan.
