CITY OF HOPKINS
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING
APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT CUP87-20
WHEREAS, an application for a Conditional Use
Permit entitled CUP87-20 has been made by Zion Lutheran
Church, 241 - 5th Avenue North, to construct an addition to
the existing structure.
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application
is as follows:

That an application for Conditional Use Permit
CUP87-20 was filed with the City of Hopkins on
July 2, 1987.
That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed
such application on July 28, 1987.
That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant
to pUblished and mailed notices, held a public
hearing on July 28, 1987; all persons present
at the hearing were given an opportunity to be
heard.
4. That the written comments and analysis of the
City Staff and the Planning Commission were
considered.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins
City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect
to CUP87-20:
1. That the addition meets the requirements for an
R-1-C District.
2. That a church is a permitted use in an R-1-C
District.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that application for
Conditional Use Permit CUP87-20 is hereby approved subject
to the following Conditions:
1. That additonal landscaping is added.
2. Application is amended to include the site at
the corner of the site.
