1987-071 o CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO: 87-71 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING DISASTER AID FUNDS FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF MSAS NO. 347, 7TH STREET SOUTH WHEREAS, portions of 7th Street South in the City of Hopkins were constructed as a Munhicipal State Aid Street, MSAS No. 347, and WHEREAS, Nine Mile Creek crosses 7th Street South, and WHEREAS, on the night of July 23, 1987, excessive amounts of rain raised that creek to a flooding state, and o WHEREAS, this flooding state far previous floods or design for the cul verts Street South, and exceeded crossing any 7th WHEREAS, the cost to reconstruct that portion of 7th Street South (MSAS No. 347) will be beyond the ability of the City of Hopkins to pay for out of general funds. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Commissioner of Transportation be and is hereby requested to declare the flood damage to 7th Street South a disaster and forward to the City of Hopkins such funds as are necessary to properly construct and reconstruct that portion of 7th Street South that was damaged by the flood.
