1985-3232 RESOLUTION NO. 85-3232 o CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE VN-2 WHEREAS, an application for a variance entitled VN-2 has been made by Anthony J. Inman-Koval, 246 - 13th Avenue North, to construct a garage at less than the minimum vehicle entrance. WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: ~ 1. That an application for Variance VN-2 was filed with the City of Hopkins on November 8, 1985. 2. That the City of Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed such application on November 26, 1985. 3. That the City of Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to mailed notices, held a public hearing on November 26, 1985; all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 4. That the written comments and analysis of the City Staff and the Planning Commission were considered. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect to VN-2: 1. That placement of a garage on the lot is limited due to a steeply sloping backyard. 2. That a special condition exists due to the fact that a large tree is located on the site. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that application for variance VN 2 is hereby approved subject to the following conditions: ,.. ~ 1. That the resident not park on the driveway on a routine basis. 2. That the garage not be constructed closer to the street than the garage to the west. 3. That the variance from the front setback be not greater than 6 feet. Adopted this 3rd day of December 1985.
