RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -007
RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
5 TH STREET SOUTH RECONSTRUCTION
PROJECT NO. 08 -07
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 5 th day of January, 2010 fixed a
date for a Council Hearing on the proposed street improvements to 5 th Street S between
11 Avenue S and the western corporate limits including asphalt roadway, concrete curb
and gutter installation, sidewalk, and water, sanitary and storm sewer improvements and
all necessary appurtenances, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate and expedient to make such
improvements, and
WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was
given, and the hearing was held thereon on the 16 day of February, 2010 at which all
persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hopkins,
Minnesota:
AT
1. Such improvement is necessary, cost - effective, and feasible as detailed in the
feasibility report.
2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council Resolution
adopted the 5 th day of January, 2010. The total estimated project cost is
$1,192,000.
3. SRF, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The
engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such
improvement.
