MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, January 4, 2011
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 10:00 pm. Present were
Mayor Maxwell and Council Members Brausen, Halverson, Youakim,
Rowan and City Manager Getschow
OTHER:
• City Manager Getschow stated that the planning will now begin for
the State of the City address scheduled for Tuesday, February 22nd
at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.
• City Manager Getschow stated that staff is in discussions with an
apartment complex to be part of the 2011 "Engaging Raspberry
Renters" project.
• City Manager Getschow stated that the mural has been installed at
the Best Buy liquor site on Mainstreet and has received several
positive comments.
• City Manager Getschow stated that the closing for the Hopkins
Center for the Arts Director position is on January 10th. Mid January
will be spent reviewing applications and setting up interviews for the
end of January.
• City Manager Getschow stated that site plan reviews will be
coming to the Planning Commission and the City Council for both
the Holiday gas station on Blake road and the Pizza Luce property
expansion on Blake road.
• Council member Brausen stated that the last SW LRT community
works meeting was cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for
February.
With no further business, a motion was made by Youakim, seconded by
Halverson to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The
meeting was adjourned at 10:45 pm.
